Anthony Moody

Executive Director of SCC Holdings & Chairman of Asia

Anthony is a Main Board member resident in Asia supporting the implementation of the Corporate agenda by the Asia-based business units. In coordination with the business units he also has a lead role in establishing and managing Government relationships in the Region. He has over thirty five years experience in the capital markets, investment banking, and investment management industry, all with operating, financial, or fiduciary responsibility. Twenty years of this experience has been in Asia, the majority managing the capital markets and wealth management businesses of Continental Bank and its acquirer Bank of America. Prior to founding his own private equity investment company in 2003, Anthony was CEO for Asia of Zurich Scudder Investments, the asset management arm of Zurich Financial Services, a member of the firm’s Global Management Committee, and Chairman of Scudder Investments Japan. Anthony is a Director of a number of Asian investment funds and on a ‘pro bono’ basis actively supports the promotion of higher standards of corporate governance and sustainable responsible investment, and microfinance. He initially joined SCC as an Adviser to the Board in 2006

Assaad Razzouk

Group CEO, Sindicatum Carbon Capital

Assaad co-founded Sindicatum Group in 2002 and Sindicatum Carbon Capital in 2005. As SCC Group Chief Executive, Assaad is responsible for SCC’s overall strategy, stakeholder relationships and the project investments managed by SCC’s business units in China, the United States, South East Asia and India. From 1993 to 2002, Assaad was an investment banker at Nomura International plc in London, where he was successively Head of the Middle East Group (1993-1997), Head of Corporate Finance – Emerging Markets (1997-1999), Head of Corporate Finance – Financial Institutions, Communications and Technology (1999-2001) and Deputy Head, Global Corporate Finance (2001-2002). At Nomura International, Assaad advised on several billion dollars of equity and debt capital raisings and invested several hundred million dollars of Nomura’s capital in private equity and principal finance investments in the emerging markets, each investment resulting in a profitable exit for Nomura. From 1988 to 1993, Assaad was at Price Waterhouse in New York City where his last position was as Manager, International Capital Markets. At Price Waterhouse, Assaad advised the Government of Indonesia on the privatisation of state-owned enterprises from 1991 to 1993, with an emphasis on the transportation sector, and specialised in advising Fortune 500 corporations in cross-border structured lease financings. Assaad is a graduate of Syracuse University (Summa Cum Laude) and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Kevin Xu

CEO, SCC China

Kevin joined SCC in 2008 as CEO , SCC China. Kevin is responsible for SCC’s business in Greater China, including a China WFOE, the Beijing Representative Office and the SCC Hong Kong office; and his role includes managing SCC’s investment and project portfolios in Greater China from project identification and origination, leading to financial closure on the one hand and project execution, operation and delivery on the other hand. Kevin also interacts with other group units on SCC Group initiatives and activities in the region. The SCC China leadership team consists of senior managers in the areas of climate exchange, Finance, Human Resources/Admin, HSE, Public Relations, Legal, Commercial and Strategy, Technical and Project Management. Kevin is a graduate of Dalian College of Light Industry (mechanical engineering) and holds an MBA from the State University of New York. Kevin is a seasoned Chinese corporate executive who started his 25 year career at the Ministry of Light Industry in China, before serving in various executive roles at (amongst others) General Electric for 5 years and at BP for 10 years (where he was lastly Chairman & General Manager, BP Zhuhai LPG and Vice President, BP LPG China). He joined SCC from his previous role as Board Member and General Manager of Sinoswiss Inspection Co. Ltd.

Kirk Evans

CEO, SCC South East Asia

Kirk brings 20 years of experience in Indonesia where he has been involved in high profile projects in the information technology, finance, and agriculture industries. He was the founder of PT Solusindo, an information technology company that provides software and support services to the Indonesian banking industry and is currently providing outsourcing services to four of the largest foreign Banks in Indonesia. He is also a Director of PT Haydrian Indonesia, a company that provides anti-money laundering solutions to banks, brokerages and the insurance industry. He holds an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and has consulted to the World Bank, the European Union, and the German technical aid organization, GTZ on international cooperation for sustainable development.

Richard Wilkinson

Executive Vice President and CFO

Richard combines over 10 years of business management experience with 15 years in banking and investment banking. Most recently he was Executive Deputy Chairman of The African Lakes Corporation Plc where he led the turnaround of Africa Online, sub-Saharan Africa’s leading ISP.

Before that he was Managing Director of Angel Train Contracts where he led the post privatization restructuring and significant growth of this £1.2billion business and its subsequent sale to the Royal Bank of Scotland.

He was previously a Director in the Principal Finance Group at Nomura International PLC.

Susan Wood

CEO, SCC Americas

Susan joined Sindicatum Carbon Capital in November 2007 as CEO of SCC Americas. In this role she leads a team that provides the financing and the technical expertise necessary to develop greenhouse gas emission reduction projects that reduce carbon emissions. These projects are further verified to provide carbon offset credits to the US voluntary and compliance markets. Ms. Wood resides in Houston, TX where the headquarters of SCC Americas is located. She has spent the past 15 years in the emissions, energy and environmental markets. Having entered the emissions trading arena in early 1994, she is considered one of the pioneers of this market. Her experience in environmental engineering and the trading of emissions, natural gas, oil and oil products provides her with a strong understanding of financial and derivative structures that she currently applies to the greenhouse gas (GHG) markets. Ms. Wood started her career as an Environmental Engineer for Emcon and in this role was involved in starting The AirBank, one of the first emissions brokerage firms. She subsequently moved on to Enron’s and Sempra Energy’s emissions, oil and natural gas trading desks. In 2003 she joined the newly created AgCert International. Ms. Wood spent the last 4 years originating Clean Development Methodology (CDM) and Verified Emission Reduction (VERs) deals in the carbon markets. She has been actively involved with the US carbon market development including originating, verifying and selling carbon credits and participating in the regulatory development process for the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and California’s

Umesh Sahdev

CEO, SCC India

Umesh joined SCC in 2007 as CEO, SCC India, to establish SCC's operations in India. He subsequently finalized our Joint Venture with ENAM, India's? leading Merchant Bankers. Umesh has built a business delivery team of 8 people fully equipped to identify, appraise and negotiate greenhouse gas abatement projects in the Indian Subcontinent, including a business network for the identification of viable investment project proposals in SCC India's main verticals of Bio Mass to Power / Cogeneration, Waste to Bio Diesel and MSW Recycling. Umesh has 36 years of diverse experience in projects & business development in a wide range of industries in India. Previously, he was CEO of the Projects Division of India's major merchant banking company Bajaj Capital and Head of Merchant Banking Operations of Mefcom Capital Markets Ltd. He has represented and developed businesses in India for Sandivk Process Systems, Italy and Siam Superior Group, Thailand. He was a founding member of the team of AIM-listed PMCI plc and was its Director of Operations in India before joining SCC.
